A Rainbow of Wallets

Il Bussetto wallets

Happy Thursday! The sun has made a quick appearance today, but these long, gray, gloomy days have us yearning for color! A small way to add some chroma to your life is through your personal accessories. Il Bussetto has some cheery hues for your card carrying and it can make all the difference. Have you ever tried looking for a black wallet in a dark handbag? A pop of color can bring a smile to your face and make it less frustrating! But, hey, if you like black we have those options too.

Mondays, Maggie Muses: The Watercolor Effect

Hi, I’m Maggie. My husband (Legh) and I own re-souL. I like to “muse” about things that inspire me. Especially on Mondays.

Abstract images continue to inspire me. As in my recent posts here and here. But what I am really inspired by is what I like to call the “watercolor effect”. Where it looks like the dye or paints are watered down and allowed to bleed onto the surface. It gives the garments and objects an intentional “accidental” sort of look, yet a subtle beauty too.  Fluid, romantic and of course very artistic.

Mondays, Maggie Muses: Gradient Color

Hi, I’m Maggie. My husband (Legh) and I own re-souL. I like to “muse” about things that inspire me. Especially on Mondays.

The gradient color or “ombré” color trend in design has been going on for a couple of years now but I still like it. Especially when the color changes are subtle.  I think it’s probably a harder thing to get right than most of us think.  Here are some of my favorite images.
