WTWW: Walk by Anat Dahari Slides

This What To Wear Wednesday is inspired by the colors and tile patterns of Morocco. These Walk “Hadid” slides or “mules” remind us of traditional Moroccan slippers. Designer Anat Dahari gives them a modern twist with an open toe slit that feels more like a sandal than a slide.

What to Wear with the Walk Silver Hadid Slide

To keep in tune with the modern feel of these silver slides, we would pair them with simple and well-tailored pieces with clean lines. These “slippers” would look great with culottes, classic chinos and tunic tops. You could also pair them with long skirts and linen dresses. Smart comfortable flats never looked so chic. Now all you need is a ticket to Marrakech!

Mondays, Maggie Muses: Moroccan Trends

Hi, I’m Maggie. My husband (Legh) and I own re-souL. I like to “muse” about things that inspire me. Especially on Mondays.

Moroccan design is by no means new.  However, it does seem to be having a resurgence and a strong influence on interior design, clothing and accessories as of late.  Bold rich colors, deep metallic finishes, repetition of patterns and symmetrical prints make it  an irresistible trend especially for warmer climates.  It is especially fresh when designers mix the traditional elements of moroccan design in a new modern way.
