4 Fresh Styles for Fall

We know that most of the country (including us in the PNW) is not experiencing the cooler weather that Autumn brings as of yet. But my friends, it will come sooner or later. So why not embrace the newness of the fashion fall season right now, right?

P. Monjo "P-961" Chelsea boot for Women

A classic Chelsea boot will be a must have for this season. We particularly love this style from P.Monjo. We like the rich russet brown color. A nice alternative to classic black.

Coclico Trixie Clog Bootie in Navy/Grey

We love clogs. When Coclico marries an ankle boot and a clog together, they create magic! This Coclico “Trixie” boot is the perfect baby don’t you think?

Fiorentini Baker Toky Buckle Wrap Boots

Our perennial favorite boot factory, Fiorentini and Baker has a new style for this Fall called the “Toky”. It is the perfect wrap-up ankle boot. Wear these all winter long with your favorite skinnies, leggings, and dresses.

MOMA "76601" Oxford in Brown /Metallic

Oxfords are always a tried and true shoe for us here at re-souL. MOMA has designed the perfect saddle shoe for the fall season. We love the oiled suede against the bronze metallic leather. Unique, yet very versatile.

What are you looking forward to wearing when the weather changes? Have a great weekend!

Spring Trend 2015 – Pale Neutrals

Hello everybody! Today we are talking about neutrals. I know, we covered this fashion color trend before in the past, but this season pale neutrals seem to be more important in ready-to-wear fashion than ever before. We like shades of sand, wheat and pearl gray.

Spring and Summer are all about light pale colors such as blush, peach, nude, beige and silver. They are easy to wear if you think of them as an alternative to your winter black or brown. Neutral shoes look great with denim, pastel colors, shades of khaki and camel as well as white.

WTWW ~ MOMA Fisherman Sandal

Each Wednesday we‚Äôll answer the on-going question: ‚ÄúWhat do I wear with these?‚Ä̬† It‚Äôs a question we get quite often here at the shop and we love giving suggestions when helping our customers.¬† Well, the weather might not be “spring like” but our early spring arrivals are starting to show up in the shop. We immediately fell in love with this modern version of a fisherman sandal by MOMA. The closed toe and heel make it approriate enough for work, but still have the feel of a summer sandal. Here are 3 examples of how to incorporate this shoe into your wardrobe. MOMA 44504 Fisherman Sandal Look 1 ¬† Wider trousers are¬†making a comeback.¬†These shoes are perfect for this look, they have enough weight¬†to balance out the width of the culottes but still look very feminine. MOMA 44504 Fisherman Sandal Look 2 ¬† Although these would work well with your skinny jeans too, we really like¬†the look of a boyfriend style jean for your casual days. Cuff up your pant legs to show off your ankles and the cute sandal too. MOMA 44504 Fisherman Sandal Look 3 ¬† Although, you might not think to pair these with a dress, we like the look these bring to a simple shirt dress. As long as your dress has some tailored elements, this fisherman style will compliment it well. These shoes would also work with ¬†a simple linen sack dress or midi skirt too.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!

Shoe Trend: Chelsea Boots For Women

Chelsea boots, also known as Jodhpur boots¬†or Paddock boots are close-fitting, ankle-high boots. The most notable features are the elastic side panel and a tab on the back of the boot, making it simple to take on and off with ease. The design’s history dates back to the Victorian era, when it was worn by both men and women.

In the 1950s and ’60s, Chelsea boots became popular in Great Britain. Perhaps because of their association with the King’s Road set of “Swinging London”.¬†¬†Worn by everyone from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones to Jean Shrimpton¬†might¬†explain how the name Chelsea became attached to the boot.

A popular trend this season for women, we thought it would be fun to show you 3 different ways to wear this little iconic boot.

Chelsea Boots with Leggings

Who doesn’t like to wear leggings? Comfortable and cozy with an oversized sweater and a wool jacket the boots give your outfit a clean¬†polished look. Ditch¬†the Uggs ladies!

Chelsea Boots with Skirt

If you like wearing skirts or dresses, you can easily wear a Chelsea style because of the close fit to the ankle. Wear coordinated tights to lengthen your legs visually. Layer some socks with your tights for a more casual look. Plus, they’ll keep your tootsies warm on chillier days.

Chelsea Boots with Skinny Jeans

For a look with a little more edge, try wearing a style with a higher heel. This style of the Chelsea boot works well with skinny jeans as well as dresses and skirts. Rock on girl!

What to Wear Wednesday: MOMA 71405 Chelsea Boot

Each Wednesday we‚Äôll answer the on-going question: ‚ÄúWhat do I wear with these?‚Ä̬† It‚Äôs a question we get quite often here at the shop and we love giving suggestions when helping our customers.¬†

What to Wear with the MOMA Chelsea Boot
Although the weather around the PNW has not turned cool by any means, we are so ready for our fall wardrobes! Especially when you have boots like these from MOMA to inspire your autumn attire. This Chelsea style with its double-gore panels makes it an easy-on-in-no-time kind of boot. Wear it with a sharp tweed blazer and slim wool trousers for work or pair them with your relaxed jeans, a checked flannel and a cozy cardigan for your days off. It really is that versatile. Now, if it would only cool down enough to start wearing boots!
