Our Favorite Colors for Fall

Who is ready for the change of seasons, and do we dare say, the rain? The fires in the PNW have made our skies smokey and we are ready for a little rain to clean up our atmosphere in Seattle. As more collections arrive at the shop, we definitely have some favorite colors that are inspiring us for the Fall/Winter season. Here are just a few to get you in the mood.

Deep, rich, dark blue. An alternative to black and slightly less edgy.  We love the shade of navy on this Officine Creative Chelsea boot.  We would wear these with jeans or basic black leggings. They would also look wonderful with longer skirts and of course anything dark blue.

Dark espresso brown with a slight hue of cool gray is the best way to describe the color of this bag from Aunts and Uncles. The perfect carry-all that can convert itself from a handbag to a tote.  We would carry this bag when we are wearing shades of olive green, gray or dark chocolate brown. Perfectly acceptable with black too.

Fresh and cool, deep greens are another favorite here at re-souL. Green is a versatile shade that can be worn with navy, gray, black and wine. These oxfords by MOMA are a basic style that would go with most anything in your wardrobe.

Shoe Mood: Bordeaux, Green & Pewter

With the winter months around the corner, and our wardrobes looking very neutral, (not that there is anything wrong with that of course!) we were craving some deep rich colors in our closet. When putting together the fall buy, we didn’t want to limit ourselves to the varietal shades of black and grey.

Shoe Mood: Bordeaux re-souL flats

So with this in mind, we added some fall colors to our very own re-souL collection. Shades of burgundy, green, blue and a little bit of shine with neutrals of pewter and bronze.

Shoe Mood: Pewter re-souL loafers

The great thing about all of these hues and metallics is they go very well with all of those neutrals in your wardrobe! A punch of color to your basic black and grey.

So what do you think? Think you could break away from your basic black shoe for a new color or metallic instead?

Pairs: Shoes and Rothko

I have always been drawn into Mark Rothko’s paintings. The subtlety of color, the depth of layers and the mood they evoke, how do you not envelop yourself into his work?  It is a little how I feel when I look at these shoes. The texture, the colors and the rich tones that you can only achieve from making shoes from suede or nubuck.  Do you see the similarities?

Blue was shown all over the runways for this spring, ranging from pale aqua to deep indigo. An easy color to wear and pull off gracefully. Especially when it comes to your feet. Its timeless qualities and beautiful shades make it a highly appealing color trend. Perfect to add a pop of color to your tried and true denim. Of course, a little imagination wouldn’t hurt either. So get a little out of your comfort zone and wear some blue.

Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”  So give it a whirl and go green!

What to wear with: P.Monjo Gilda Sandal

In most of the country it’s not quite beach weather yet, but you can dare to expose those toes on a nice spring day!  We really like this sandal, its nice neutral shade works well with khaki, ivory, blush and beige.  It’s an excellent choice to wear with your silk blouse,  jeans and a lightweight jacket.  Or dress it up and wear it with a feminine sundress for an evening out.
