Recap of Saturday’s Artwalk: Misha Zadeh

Last Saturday we participated in the Ballard Artwalk and featured the very talented Misha Zadeh of Turquoise Creative.

It was a fun evening of nibbles, drinks, comaraderie, shoes and of course art!

Thanks to all who came and made it a special evening for Misha. Stop by re-souL to see more of Misha’s beautiful illustrations. Her art will be up in the shop until the end of the month.

Mondays, Maggie Muses: Misha Zadeh

This Monday I am musing about the very talented Misha Zadeh Graham. She is so fantastic and such an inspiration that I named one of our re-souL shoes after her. If the name sounds vaguely familiar, it might be because I had already introduced her to you in a past post here.

For those who may not know her, Misha runs a studio called Turquoise Creative. She designs and sells  fine paper art and stationery. She also happens to be a very gifted illustrator and artist as well. This Saturday we will be featuring Misha at this months Ballard Artwalk. Her collection features mixed-media cut-paper artwork made from her own etchings and monoprints –some with additional drawing and painting layered over the newly composed art. They are vibrant in color and texture which bring a rich depth to her clean and modern lines.

Misha made her first greeting card at age 4, magic markers and imagination in hand. Her parents, both architects, encouraged Misha’s love for creating beautiful objects. She followed her passion to the University of Washington, earning a double degree in Graphic Design and Interdisciplinary Visual Art. When not working on commercial design for clients, you can find her cutting away, giving new life to her formerly discarded original prints.
