Hi there! Warmer weather this week has us craving for the season’s “it” shoe style, the slide! For today’s “what to wear Wednesday”, we are going to show you how to wear different types of slides for different occasions.
Let’s face it, we love our denim, don’t we? This easy black slide from Officine Creative works great with skinny jeans. It covers most of the foot, so it is appropriate enough for casual work environments or your days off when strolling around town. They definitely have that laid back cool look.
We love these low heel, pale pink suede beauties from Coclico. Wear them with some wide leg crop pants to add a modern flare to your outfit. The neutral soft color would work well with lightweight cotton or linen pants too. Also works well with most pastel colors.
For a more sophisticated look, wear these chunky heel slides by P. Monjo with your favorite linen frock. These compliment flowy midi lengths of summer dresses or skirts. Easy, breezy, yet polished and put together.
So, what do you think? Ready to try wearing a slide? View all slides at re-souL here. Thanks for stopping by! ~ team re-souL
Things that just naturally go together.
We love the colorful illustrations of Malika Favre! They seem to go perfectly with the primary colors of these flatform sandals. They have us dreaming of the French Riviera. Sigh.
Have a wonderful weekend!
It’s been awhile since I have done a Maggie Muses post. But I thought I’d share a few of our small maker’s goods in the shop right now. Besides shoes, we carry a variety of little cheery accessories and gifts in the shop.
Spring is here and it has me craving springtime color! Here are a few of my re-souL favorites that make me happy.
Bonne Maison (meaning good home) socks are a new favorite in the shop. The patterns, designs, and colors are spot on. The cotton knit is so soft to the touch. This could become a new addiction. Made in France and Portugal.
Esska shoes are a perineal favorite at re-souL. Nobody does color combinations as well in the footwear world as designer Souraya Karami. We love the pops of yellow in these sandals and sneakers. Now, which pair is my favorite? All of them.
When you need to do it the old school way, nothing beats the patterns and design of these WriteSketch& notebooks. Made in Italy, the colors are bright and cheerful and the quality of the paper is top notch. I have no excuse not sketch or even jot down notes on a daily basis.
We have carried Ronni’s jewelry in our shop for years. I love the way she keeps reinventing her collection season after season. Perhaps it’s the vintage beads she finds in her travels that keep it fresh? Her design aesthetic is perfection. Sigh.
Moth&Crow is designed and crafted in Vashon, Washington. Dawn Smithson has an extensive background in fashion design and teaches at Seattle Central College. I love the bright primary colors of each piece, making it hard to decide which is my favorite. Each piece is handmade by Dawn. Even better.
So what do you think? Are you ready for some color too? Come see all these fun goodies in the shop. We’d love to help you pick the perfect one for you.
Have a great week! ~ Maggie

Anyone who’s been in the shop – over the last 9 years – has probably encountered Nova, she’s the heart and soul of our shop, the very definition of re-souL. Nova came to us right out of college with serious ambition and a mid-west mindset. Turns out, that was the very thing re-souL needed. Nova, for nearly a decade, has set the pace, defined the company and won the hearts of our customers, too many to count.
With a heavy heart, today we announce that Nova is moving on. She and her fiancé Nick are taking their talents to Lopez Island (Washington) to pursue their dream. They are opening a restaurant on Lopez called Ursa Minor! They are on track to open next month.
Many of you have talked with Nova on the phone, met with her in the shop, or know her from other experiences – but let’s just say that no one has ever experienced personal service the way that only Nova can deliver. We ask, have you ever received better honest service from a retailer – ever- than Nova? We didn’t think so.
What you may not know is that Nova has also been the driving force behind our website, our marketing, our social media and everywhere you experience re-souL. Not a single image gets to you without Nova’s approval. So if you’re a fan of our website, our blog, our Facebook, our Instagram, google+, or whatever…. you can thank her for making it happen.
Please know that while the staff at re-souL will miss Nova dearly, we will strive to provide the superior service that makes re-souL famous. Legh, Maggie, Margaret, and Katie have everything it takes. We are fortunate that Nova will still be helping out behind the scenes from time to time while we go through this transition.
Nova’s last day in the shop is Thursday, March 30th. Please consider taking a moment to stop by and wish Nova the best in her new venture.
We love you, Nova! Your hard work and dedication were an integral part of our team and the growth of re-souL. As you turn the page in your life’s story, we join together in wishing you every success in your new endeavor, Ursa Minor!
