WTWW: How to Wear Chunky Heel Booties

Hi there! It’s been a while since we’ve done a “what to wear Wednesday”. Today we are looking at ways to wear a chunky heel ankle boot. We have recently received a great pair by P.Monjo. This black ankle boot would be a beautiful addition to anyone’s shoe closet. Let us show you how we would style this versatile bootie.

What to Wear Wednesday: P. Monjo Booties + Shift Dress

Some gals have a hard time visualizing ankle boots with a dress. But it can be done, we promise! Here we pair them with an above the knee shift. The chunky heel balances out the dressy feel of  a silk or a rayon patterned dress. Wear them with or without tights. These would also look great with a tunic and a pair of leggings.

What to Wear Wednesday: P. Monjo Booties + Cropped Denim

With cropped hems and looser fit denim on the rise, we think a nice pair of chunky heel booties are a good way to dress up your favorite pair of jeans. Wear them with a turtleneck sweater and a textured blazer for the perfect casual Friday outfit.

What to Wear Wednesday: P. Monjo Booties + Midi Dress

Maxi dresses, especially sweater dresses, are super cozy for Fall. Wear these chunky heel booties to elevate your knitwear for a more polished look.

So how would you wear these boots? We’d love to hear from you!

WTWW – Men’s Edition: re-souL sneakers

Sometimes you need a shoe that does it all. For men, it can sometimes be a daunting task. You want to look good but you want to be comfortable too. Let us introduce to you the re-souL leather sneaker collection. Leather uppers are dressy enough to get away wearing them to work but comfortable to walk in all day. Here is how we suggest wearing them. re-souL_WTWW_mens_re-souL_sneaks_ss16_green

On occasion, you want to have¬†the ease of no laces, especially at the airport. You can keep your cool through security and look put together for your trip at the same time. We would wear our green “Lance” slip-ons with our favorite denim.

Too hot to wear pants but¬†not really into wearing sandals? A simple solution is to wear your favorite cargos and a¬†light t-shirt with our tan “Larry” lace-ups. That way you can walk for miles and still look perfectly put together.

Thank you for stopping by. You can find both of these styles in our shop or on-line at resoul.com.  Have a great rest of the week! ~ team re-souL

WTWW: Top 3 Men’s Shoe Trends

Each Wednesday we‚Äôll answer the on-going question: ‚ÄúWhat do I wear with these?‚Ä̬† It‚Äôs a question we get quite often here at the shop and we love giving suggestions when helping our customers. This week we are helping out the guys.¬†

WTWW: Satorisan Benirras mid top leather casual

Desert boots or chukka boots have been trending for several seasons, so much so that we consider them a classic style. We like this one from Satorisan, meant to be worn without socks and designed with side vents to keep your feet cool. The leather sock liner and foam rubber sole mold to your feet making them super comfortable. Wear these with your chinos and a short sleeve woven shirt for a casual Friday at work.

WTWW: Officine Creative Anatomia 43 Woven Oxford

A smart update to your work shoe collection is a woven oxford. Perfect for summer weather to be worn with or without socks. We like this laceless style from Officine Creative. The handwoven leather is rich in color and texture. We would pair these with jeans and a linen sport coat and forget the laces and the socks, or not.

WTWW: re-souL Sam woven flip flop

Okay guys, time to up your game when it comes to sandals. Ditch the thongs¬†(at least once in awhile) for a comfortable leather slide style. Wear them with a pair of Bermuda¬†shorts and a long sleeve linen shirt and you won’t get funny looks the next time you frequent that trendy restaurant wearing your rubber flip-flops. Instead you’ll be admired for your casual laid-back look.

Thanks for stopping by, we hope you have a great rest of your week! To view more styles for guys visit us at resoul.com.

Spring Trend: Culottes & Clogs

Culottes and clogs. Yes, that’s what we said. The two go together like an artisan loaf of bread and an Irish¬†creamy butter. Both very good on their own of course but, oh together, even better! Culottes have become a fashion basic in the last couple of seasons and a great way to wear them is with clogs. Clogs give you the right height and heft you need to balance out the wideness of the pant leg.

Clogs & Culottes: Coclico

These Coclico wedge clogs are modern and sleek with their color tonalities and textures. We would wear them with something simple and layered to achieve a more sophisticated look in our outfit.

Clogs & Culottes: Taddeucci

We love the look of these Giulia Taddeucci clogs with the wood bottoms stained black and the glossy leather uppers. They almost look like a piece of modern furniture. We would wear these with our favorite black culottes and a crisp white poplin shirt. Clogs & Culottes: Kupuri

We adore the 70’s vintage vibe of these Kupuri clog sandals. The perfect neutral color to wear with most of your summer casuals, stripes, and denim.

So what do you think? Ready to give culottes and clogs a try? You’ll look fabulous we promise.

WTWW: 3 Different Ways to Wear Midi Skirts

Each Wednesday we‚Äôll answer the on-going question: ‚ÄúWhat do I wear with these?‚Ä̬† It‚Äôs a question we get quite often here at the shop and we love giving suggestions when helping our customers. This week we focus on three different Kupuri styles to wear with midi skirts. ¬†

We just received a new collection of spring shoes from Kupuri. The styles are fresh and feminine. Midi skirts over the last few seasons have gone from runway fashion to a staple in our spring and summer wardrobes. So, we thought it would be fun to show different styles of shoes you can wear with this on-trend skirt length.

What to wear with Kupuri T-strap Sandals

The most flattering and ladylike way to wear a full mid-length skirt is with a heel. We really like this t-strap with its neutral color straps, blocky heel, and comfy platform. Wear these when you want to channel your inner femme fatal.

WTWW: How to Wear Spring Chelsea Boots

This post is an update to a previous post we did on Chelsea boots a little over a year ago. After all, they are still an easy ankle boot to wear going into the early spring season. We just got a new one in the shop from P.Monjo in a beautiful shade of grey with a slight green cast. They are gorgeous! So we thought we would take another look at this classic style and see how we would wear them today.

What to wear with Chelsea Boots: P. Monjo

These boots will up your game when you pair them with your favorite “athleisure” pants: the legging. You can be comfy in your oversized sweater and stretchy pants and still look pulled together. Yay for comfort+style.

Not quite warm enough yet to wear sandals, but you can wear a Chelsea boot with cropped boyfriend style jeans. Pull on a tunic top or dress with a classic trench and you are good to go! Easy, breezy, beautiful, well you know what I mean.

Who says ankle boots are only for pants? Not us! We think you can¬†rock them with¬†dress or a skirt too. It’s all about proportions. We like the way they look with the longer hemlines. Also, way easier on your tootsies than stilettos.
