The re-souL team is constantly coveting the beautiful shoes in the shop. As you can imagine, when the seasons’ change and new shoes start to roll in we can get quite giddy. It almost feels like Christmas opening the boxes with anticipation! With Spring in full swing and summer upon us, we’re obviously coveting the new collections, but which are our favorites? These are the styles that get us excited about selling shoes.
It’s been awhile since I have done a Maggie Muses post. But I thought I’d share a few of our small maker’s goods in the shop right now. Besides shoes, we carry a variety of little cheery accessories and gifts in the shop.
Spring is here and it has me craving springtime color! Here are a few of my re-souL favorites that make me happy.
Bonne Maison (meaning good home) socks are a new favorite in the shop. The patterns, designs, and colors are spot on. The cotton knit is so soft to the touch. This could become a new addiction. Made in France and Portugal.
Esska shoes are a perineal favorite at re-souL. Nobody does color combinations as well in the footwear world as designer Souraya Karami. We love the pops of yellow in these sandals and sneakers. Now, which pair is my favorite? All of them.
When you need to do it the old school way, nothing beats the patterns and design of these WriteSketch& notebooks. Made in Italy, the colors are bright and cheerful and the quality of the paper is top notch. I have no excuse not sketch or even jot down notes on a daily basis.
We have carried Ronni’s jewelry in our shop for years. I love the way she keeps reinventing her collection season after season. Perhaps it’s the vintage beads she finds in her travels that keep it fresh? Her design aesthetic is perfection. Sigh.
Moth&Crow is designed and crafted in Vashon, Washington. Dawn Smithson has an extensive background in fashion design and teaches at Seattle Central College. I love the bright primary colors of each piece, making it hard to decide which is my favorite. Each piece is handmade by Dawn. Even better.
So what do you think? Are you ready for some color too? Come see all these fun goodies in the shop. We’d love to help you pick the perfect one for you.
Have a great week! ~ Maggie

Strappy, bold and oh so comfy. These are three slide sandals you could be wearing right now! A little more polished than your regular Birkenstocks, all three of these slides would look great with your favorite summer clothes. We have paired them here with some looks we like. But to be honest, because all of these sandals are so versatile, you could easily wear any of these slides with any of these outfits, that’s what makes them so great! Plus, all of these styles are now on sale! Happy shopping!
1. The re-souL “Sabrina” in silver is a classic woven crisscross slide sandal, and she’s ready to take you everywhere this summer! Easily go from running errands to having lunch with friends to a night out at your favorite restaurant. Lightweight molded foam footbed and low profile rubber sole keep your foot cool and comfortable. Made in Italy. (Also available in all white)
2. The re-souL “Jane” is all about clean lines and simplicity. An easy going style with a lightweight EVA sole paired with molded foam footbed is the perfect accompaniment to simple white leather crisscross straps. This slide is the minimalist’s summer dream sandal. Made in Italy.
3. In the summer, less is more. This slip on slide sandal from Giulia Taddeucci is no exception. Molded leather footbed gives some support, while two hunter green patent leather straps let your feet breathe in style. Just slide on and go! Made in Italy. (Also available in Black)
We have a new line in the shop here at re-souL, it’s called Satorisan. We are all smitten with this new Spring collection and inspired by the travels we would take wearing our shoes that are oh so comfortable.
Satorisan is an international lifestyle brand whose attitude is grounded in balance and harmony, honesty and respect, quality and comfort, love and caring. Developed in Valencia, Spain and produced in Vietnam, Satorisan is into “live by the walk”. They believe if your feet are happy, the rest of you will be happy too.
Their signature green sole is a special compound similar to that used in competition car tires, which increases the traction properties on dry or wet conditions.
The leathers are sourced in Spain and the canvas fabric is milled in Italy. The international collaboration of designers and manufacturers produce an unbeatably comfortable product. We like the way they look and feel, and we hope you will too.

Men’s bags have come a long way. “Man-bag” stigma no more, it is perfectly acceptable for gentlemen to carry bags. With the busy lives we all lead and the ability to work from anywhere (thanks to technology), bags are a necessary item in a busy man’s life. So let us show you 3 different lightweight styles that are perfect for hauling your gear around town.
We not only like this old school style because of its practicality, but its functionality as well. This Owen & Fred duffle is the perfect weekender or gym bag. Rugged enough to carry all your stuff, ample space, and handsome enough for everyday use. Speaking of handsome, have you seen the coordinating Dopp kit? It’s awesome, right?
Sometimes the most functional bag is a simple tote. But not just any tote will do. This Winter Session “Garrison” bag is handmade in Colorado with coated canvas and natural leather straps. Carry your water bottle, files, and laptop in a convenient carry-all. It’ll look good on you!
Lightweight and minimal, this new book bag from Poketo is the perfect solution to when you just need to carry a book, a tablet or a magazine to read. Throw in your wallet, phone and keys and you have an awesome commuter bag. Man bag? Um, yes. But don’t worry, it’s still manly.

The re-souL gals are constantly coveting the beautiful shoes in the shop. As you can imagine, when the seasons change and new shoes start to roll in we can be quite giddy. It almost feels like Christmas opening the boxes with anticipation! With Autumn upon us, we’re obviously coveting the new collections, but which are our favorites? Here’s the shoes that make our hearts flutter.
“This boot is incredibly fashionable with just a touch of grit.” – Torin
Since my first day at re-souL I have had a soft spot in my heart for MOMA. They’ve been the ones that always catch my eye and tempt me the most. From the way the leathers crease and fold, reminiscent of the topography of a map to the little marks and quirks of the hide that make each boot both unique and familiar. This is why I like MOMA and why I am currently coveting their 50404 lace-up boot.
Another aspect of the 50404 boot that has me coming back to it again and again is the look. This boot is incredibly fashionable with just a touch of grit. I’ve always loved dressing well but I hate being too dolled up. I like to throw in something rough or different with an outfit. The 50404 boot allows me to throw in that military blue collar look while still maintaining a put together appearance. Alternatively, I can wear them with a tee and blue jeans and have an effortless, stylish casual look. Joe Cool has his sunglasses and I have my boots.
Moma has always come across as more than just a shoe, it was clearly evident that the folks behind this brand had much more than shoes in mind when they develop their new styles for each season. These aren’t unskilled laborers sitting at an assembly line cranking out the same shoe or boot over and over again. These are artists; real craftsmen and women who are imbuing such an ordinary everyday thing with life and personality. For that, the knowledge that these boots are made with love and that they are going to be with me for years to come, that’s the real reason why I covet the MOMA 50404 lace-up boot..
This post part of a series of re-souL staff picks titled “Currently Coveting”.
