Spring Trend: Monochrome

One of the biggest spring trends this season is the idea of a monochrome wardrobe. Having an edited down wardrobe makes it way easier to get dressed in the morning. We all lead busy lives and having a “uniform” of sorts in your closet makes it one less thing to worry about when getting dressed for the day.

This by all means doesn’t mean boring. You can still play with pattern and add accessories to add some flair to your look. Black, white, cream and shades of grey look great on most, so having shoes that coordinate with your minimal palette is essential.

Spring is fickle, it can feel like all four seasons in a day. Therefore, layering is the key to helping get through those months of manic weather. Same goes for these oxfords. Wear them with socks to ward off the chill, wear them without when the sun is shining brightly.

Compliment an all white ensemble with a little metallic flourish. These wingtip oxfords with their white soles coordinate well with the white trousers but add an unexpected flair to the entire look.

A graphic pattern is always a fun way to play with a monochrome look. We would pair this shirtdress with a pair of spring oxfords.

This is what we like to think of as the typical “uniform” for a casual spring day. Striped bateau shirt, black pants, and a cardigan are classic and timeless. We would wear a white loafer/moc with this look.

re-souL_ss16_giulia_taddeucci_46604_sandal_slide_14149_black_2We all would love to have a simple white dress. We would contrast this crisp white sheath with these banded black sandals. The look is clean and modern. Minimal effort for a chic summer look.

We love this bold graphics on this comfy jumper with a more simple traditional flat sandal that doesn’t take away from the awesomeness of this print.
